got all games or just prophecies?

if you got all games, the best money maker in GW is DoA, without question.

you could power trade, but since youre a lvl 8 i doubt you have the funds.

you can also UWSC as vale necro, but 90% of pug groups fail

If you are a newbie, then ignore that ^^ (DOA or UWSC for a level 8??)

Best way to make some money is by farming (find an area where you can kill enemies solo and sell the drops to merchant/other players (if drop is good))...

He can't really do any of that at level 8.

You pretty much need to level to 20 before you can do a lot to make any money, you shouldn't need much or any at level 8 anyway, hope this helped.

Asking about how to earn gold/money/items is not allowed. There are enough threads already, and there are forums more suited for those threads, like the farming forum.
There's a forum for these question already.

cant do anything worthwhile at level 8 to make any money

but how hard is it to get to level 20, seriously.

if you want to make money and have all campaigns, then DoA.

if not, then UWSC.

Just play through the game. At level 8, there is absolutely NO reason to worry about money. Just save up what you earn through killing stuff and quests and get essentials first (bags, storage belt, armor, id kits). You'll have to scrimp at the beginning, but money will accumulate if you just budget properly and prioritize what you want.

We all started out where you were.

DoA? UWSC? For a level 8 new to the game?

Really, best thing to do at level 8 is just keep playing the game. Do every quest you find, do the missions of course. Look up collectors on the wiki. You can often get some very good stuff from them. Sell inks if you find any. The plat will begin to grow.

When you have hit level 20, or close to it, go back to an earlier map and go out solo or with as few hench as you can and level the place. Outside Piken Square is popular for beginning farming, as is the Ascalon map. Find some inks, some golds to sell.

Ease into farming gradually, and it will be both fun and rewarding; a part of the game. Runs into elite areas can certainly be profitable, but it becomes more like work than playing a game all too quickly.

My first run through Prophecies long ago, I remember doing all the collector armor up through the Crystal Desert and I just used weapon drops. People will give you the idea that unless you have The Wondrous Staff of Snicklefritz or The Dark Lord's Sword of Holocaust you can't possibly play your class; or perfect greens. When the truth is, it is very hard to tell the difference between the big ticket weapons and something you found or glommed together yourself in actual combat.

A good way to make money, but quite time consuming: Do quests, and finish the campaign (not THK, and Ring of Fire island missions, the whole game), would net you quite the bit of money if you don't spend it on anything.

At your point of game (lvl 8) you shouldn't need that much money. A very easy and rewarding way is to ID every item you get, as the price will be slightly higher than if you wouldn't (I think it is between a few gold to +50 or something) anyways, you'll win more than you loose, e.g. a good way to make an easy profit.

If you just continue playing the game and proceed in storry, do the tip above, I don't think you'll find yourself lacking money until you have finnished the game and want certain types of skin etc.

But if you need quick money (as if you can't afford max armor) then I suggest rolling a PvP Ranger and do the zaishen challange until you've got a decent trapping build and then move on to farm the zaishen elite. This will net you 6k balthazar factions a day, which you can use to unlock new skills or buy zaishen keys, which you then can sell for the current price of 4k.

the best way to earn money is to farm or do UWSC in order to do that you need to get to lvl 20 so focus on that for now.

bewarned, UWSC is extremely hard if you're new to the game, you have to know the game mechanics well first, so for my 20 cents, i say you finish prophs first, get HM, when you think you can do it, then do UWSC
also, UWSC require you to pay 1k for the consets, so you need a bit of money to start, and there're still fail groups, so you might not get anything back

My advice to a new player (as a player of 5 months myself)

1) Get nick the travellers gifts & sell them for approx. 5k each - nets you 25k each week

2) As soon as you can get the "storybooks" so that when you complete a campaign or storybook mission you can get a nice gold bonus - the MOX storybook one gives you 10k for example IIRC

3) Do the zaishen missions & bounties - gives you decent amount of gold & zaishen coins which you can trade for equipment packs which sell for decent amounts - synergy with the storybooks too

4) learn the price of everything so you can spot cheap items for sale, buy them & then sell them on later for a profit - extreme example of this ... someone who runs dungeons was selling every gold item they had for just 500g (I assume as they just wanted a quick inventory clear) - I bought a chaos axe off them for 500g & sold it for 30k - it was almost certainly worth a fair bit more than 30k as well but I was still very inexperienced at pricing things at the time

5) Do the EotN campaign as IIRC the gold you get from doing missions & quests there are fairly large chunks of money

6) Consider creating a character/build for "running" people places as this can net you a fair amount of gold

UWSC (underworld speed clear) is most certainly not for a new player - similairly DoA (Domain of Anguish) is just as hard - IMO stay clear of them for now - I have not got to the point myself where I want to get into those areas - I am only just starting to consider farming solo with specialised monk builds

The easiest way I found to get started in the harder areas was to start at Tomb Of The Primeval Kings where I was monking for the (usually less experienced) perma sins - bascially the monks there dont need to be that good as they dont do much apart from place a few SoH/succor bonds on the sins & rez them when they die with UA
